East Knoxville motorists, anticipate delays on Boyds Bridge Pike as a contractor makes repairs to the bridge spanning the Holston River.
Southern Constructors Inc. will close one of the two lanes on the bridge (near the pike’s intersection with Holston Hills Road) beginning Tuesday, July 6, 2021. For two months, eastbound and westbound traffic will take turns using a single open lane on the bridge, and backups approaching the bridge are likely.
SCI crews will be making repairs to the bridge approaches and joints through early September. The City is funding the $131,425 project through a competitively-bid contract.
