KUB Asks for Community Feedback on its Fiber Plan

Posted: 05/13/2021
KUB Broadband GuideKUB recently announced its plan to deploy a fiber network and provide broadband internet services to customers who reside within its electric service territory. In May 2021, KUB’s plan for fiber deployment was approved by its electric system regulator, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and by the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury.

In anticipation of approval by the Board of Commissioners of the Knoxville Utilities Board of Resolution No.1438 at its meeting on May 20, 2021, KUB is inviting members of the public to express their opinions about KUB's plan.

The forum will be held Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 6 p.m. at the Grande Event Center, 5441 Clinton Hwy. Knoxville, TN 37912.

Details about KUB’s Fiber to the Home business plan can be found at www.kub.org/broadband. Members of the public who are interested in attending the meeting can register by using the same web address. Registration for the meeting will close on May 25, 2021 at 5 p.m. All attendees are expected to adhere to the venue's COVID-19 safety policies.
