Charter Doyle Greenway Map

Charter Doyle Greenway is a loop that surrounds the green space, playground, and tennis courts in Charter Doyle Park.

The greenway also connects to a new feature, the Charter Doyle Petsafe Dog Park within Charter Doyle Park. This greenway was repaved and widened in 2011.

The City plans to connect Charter Doyle Greenway to Mary Vestal Greenway along the abandoned Smoky Mountain Railroad corridor.

Charter Doyle Park also features the unpaved, 0.1-mile Mildred Doyle trail, which meanders through a wooded area within the park.

HISTORY OF THE GREENWAY

The land was generously donated in 1984 by the Doyle family to be a neighborhood park. Take a stroll on the Mildred Doyle nature trail that passes by the Doyle family cemetery. There you'll find a single military tombstone recording the life of John Doyle, dating 1748-1837.
