Directions: Head east on Magnolia Avenue; pass Cherry Street approximately 1 mile; turn right onto Castle Street; go approximately four blocks; park will be on right, corner of Castle Street and Wilson Avenue. 


Claude Walker Ballpark are located in East Knoxville and are adjacent to Dr. E.V. Davidson Community Center and Austin East Magnet High School.

The ballfield complex consists of two softball fields, a playground, concessions and restrooms. To reserve the softball fields or to learn more about upcoming East Knoxville programs, call William Anderson at 865-243-4968. During football season, the outfields are used for football practices. To reserve a football practice at Claude Walker Ballfields or to learn more about upcoming Football programs, call Melvin Tate at 865-384-4408.

Claude Walker was a longtime supervisor in the City's Parks & Recreation Department.

PARK RULES & REGULATIONS

1.) For the protection of our park and the safety of its users, the following are prohibited:
  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No open fires
  • No hitting golf balls anywhere in the park
  • No motorized vehicles in park
  • No equestrian activity
2.) Per city ordinance, all animals must be maintained on a leash.
3.) Please be respectful of other trail users.
4.) Please help to keep our parks beautiful by disposing trash in proper receptacles.
5.) Hours - Open dawn to dusk unless otherwise posted.
