City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation is proud to have been one of the founding organizations for the Let's Move Event! held in Knoxville. As Knoxville's effort toward First Lady Michelle Obama's national campaign, over 15 local community groups are working together to encourage our children to eat healthier and move more outside.

Knoxville Parks and Recreation Director Joe Walsh shared the cochair role along with Coordinated School Health Specialist Aneisa MacDonald for the initial event in 2012 and is doing so again for the May 3, 2014 event this year.

Knoxville Parks and Recreation is also proud to serve the Let's Move! Event by acting as in-house designer of the official Let's Move! Event Adventure Map, sponsor of the Let's Move! Event web site and signage, and host for both park locations of the event.

Volunteers are still needed for the event! Please e-mail kmanuel@cityofknoxville.org if you would like to volunteer at the event.

For more information on the event, please visit www.LetsMoveKnoxville.com.
