From the Center,
It’s that time of year again when
we think about new beginnings-and
all the things we can do to make our
lives happier, healthier, and more
rewarding. January is a great time
to sit down and prioritize your life
and decide what is important to you.
I’ve discovered with age that simplifying
and down sizing has helped to
make me a happier and more productive
mom, wife and person. I
have also committed myself to do
the little things that I enjoy such as
yoga, walking and pottery. This simple
time that I slow down each week
is reflected in my household and general attitude toward life. I feel
so grateful to be in a profession
that allows me to create and
share with others. Because of my
own personal experience, I encourage
you to choose one or
more classes we have offered to
enrich your life. It’s surprising
how contagious being happy and
content can be. Look into your
future this 2009 and carve out
some special time for yourself.
Next time you stop by the
center introduce yourself to
Melanie Williams, our new intern.Melanie joined our staff in late
September; however she is no
stranger to the craft center,
Melanie has taken pottery classes
with us for years. She is a very
talented and creative person who
I’m sure you will enjoy getting to
know.
City employees remember the
Knoxville Arts and Fine Crafts
Center has a special rate for you.
Show us your city I.D. and receive
$10.00 off your next fitness class.
Hope to See You!
