Milton Roberts Recreation Center History

This recreation center is named in honor of longtime City Councilman Milton Roberts, who served from 1944-1945 and again from 1948-1989. Roberts was well known for his passion for juvenile recreation. He was the recipient of the Friends of Fountain City Award in 1989. Formerly called Holston Recreation Center, this center was renamed in honor of Milton Roberts by Mayor Victor Ashe in 1990.
