Dr. E.V. Davidson Community Center History

In January 2005, Mayor Bill Haslam dedicated this center in honor of Dr. E.V. Davidson, who retired from a long and distinguished career practicing medicine. Davidson is well known as an active civic leader in the community.

The center's community room is dedicated in honor of retired educator Ruth Benn. The gymnasium is dedicated in honor of the late Knoxville Police Capt. James Rowan. The swimming pool is dedicated in honor of the late civil rights attorney Carl Cowan.
