Truck Honors Knoxville Police Fallen Officers
Truck Honors Fallen KPD Officers
Knoxville Police Chief Sterling Owen joined today with Claiborne Hauling Contractors Director of Transportation, Eric Edlin, to unveil a new truck that honors Knoxville Police Officers who were killed in the line of duty. The Mack CL 733 tri-axle dump truck is the latest vehicle in Claiborne’s long line of specially painted vehicles.

Officer’s Impact In the Community Results In Officer of the Year Honors
Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Police Chief Sterling Owen named Officer Bill Muhlfeld the 2008 Officer of the Year for the Knoxville Police Department. Officer Muhlfeld came to KPD in June 2006 after serving as the Director of the Hardee County, Florida Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Officer Muhlfeld’s technical knowledge from his EMA days has provided him with a unique advantage and standing as a new officer.

Knoxville Mayor Bill Haslam and Police Chief Sterling Owen named Cameron Paidousis the 2008 Explorer of the Year for the Knoxville Police Department. Paidousis has been with the Explorer Post since July 2005. In March 2008 he was appointed the Lieutenant and leader of the post.
