KAT is the mass transit system for the City of Knoxville, Tennessee.  We operate around 80 buses, paratransit LIFT vehicles, and downtown trolleys.

KAT employs over 250 people.

Funding for the transit system comes from local, state, and federal dollars, as well as fare revenues.

KAT carries around 3.2 million passengers per year. During peak hours of service, KAT operates around 28 routes, including 3 express routes and 3 trolley routes.
