The mission of the Mayor's Maker Council is to develop a shared vision for our region's diverse maker community; raise awareness of Knoxville’s local maker movement and associated micro-economies; promote local goods and services; and address government policies and regulatory issues that impact maker businesses.

There are 15 members of the Maker Council, all appointed by the Mayor. The Knoxville Entrepreneur Center convenes the meetings and acts as a fiscal agent. Members serve two year terms and are limited to two consecutive terms then a one year break.

The Mayor's Maker Council meets the first Tuesday of other month, starting in February, at 9 a.m. Call 865-282-4322 to inquire about location for upcoming meetings. The meetings scheduled so far for 2018 are: February 6, April 3, and June 5.
