CITY GRANTS

January 18, 2008

Grant Application [PDF]
Grant Title VI Assurance Form [PDF]
Grant Title VI Survey [PDF]
All agencies receiving a grant will be required to attend a two hour Title VI seminar - date to be announced.

Dear Applicant:

On this webpage you will find a link to the grant application, the Title VI Assurance Form and the Title VI Survey to be completed for the City’s FY 2008-2009 Community Agency Grants program.  These documents are in a PDF format that must be read with the Adobe Acrobat Reader.  You may type your information into the forms online and print your documents for submission.  These forms must be completed for your agency to be considered for the City’s FY 2008-2009 Community Agency Grant program.

Your non-profit organization may apply for a grant if it operates within the City of Knoxville and has been in operation for at least five years.  Two or more agencies may choose to apply in partnership, but one agency must be designated as the applicant.

Just a reminder as you work on your budget, there is no guarantee that you will get a grant because you have received one in the past. We strive to meet as many requests as possible but we are committed to fiscal responsibility and prioritizing the needs of Knoxville’s citizens. Priority will be given to proposals that contribute to the goals and mission of the City of Knoxville (e.g. promoting downtown, ending homelessness).

When filling out the application and attachments, complete each part and limit your responses to the space provided on the form.  This information is needed for the decision making process.  Your application must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 29, 2008.  This deadline is firm.  LATE applications will not be considered.

If your organization becomes financially insolvent, any funds awarded to your organization will be withheld by the city.

Thank you for what you do to help the citizens of Knoxville.  If you have any questions about the grant application process, contact me at 865-215-2831.

Sincerely,

Cathy Chesney
Office of Policy and Communications
