Dear Applicant:
On this webpage you will find a link to the grant
application, the Title
VI Assurance Form and the Title
VI Survey to be completed for the City's FY 2009-2010 Community Agency Grants program. These documents are in PDF format that must be read with the Adobe Acrobat Reader. You may type your information into the PDF form and then print the documents for submission via postal mail. You may find it helpful to save the PDF file to your computer first, then type in the information, save your changes, and print. This will provide you with a saved electronic version of your application for future reference.
Your non-profit organization may apply for a grant if it operates within the City of Knoxville and has been in operation for at least five years. Two or more agencies may choose to apply in partnership, but one agency must be designated as the applicant.
Having received a Community Agency Grant in the past does not guarantee a grant this year. The current economic situation underlines the tough decisions we must make. We will strive to meet as many requests as possible but we are committed to fiscal responsibility and prioritizing the needs of Knoxville’s citizens. Priority will be given to proposals that contribute to the goals and mission of the City of Knoxville (e.g. enriching quality of life, promoting downtown, ending homelessness).
When filling out the application and attachments complete each part and limit your responses to the space provided on the form. This information is needed for the decision making process. Your application must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009. This deadline is firm. LATE applications will not be considered.
Thank you for what you do to help the citizens of Knoxville. If you have any questions about the grant application process, contact me at 865-215-2831.
Sincerely,
Cathy Chesney
Office of the Mayor
