| WORKFORCE CONNECTIONS BOARD | |
| Workforce Connections is a division of the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee. The functions of the Board are set out in the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 which include oversight and operation the Employment and Training programs, youth programs and programs for laid off workers. The Board performs other duties related to the development, coordination, operation and/or promotion of workforce development activity. | |
| Appointment of Board Members | |
| The membership of the Board may consist of at least thirty-nine members that include two members each from local educational entities, local labor organizations, community-based organizations, and economic development agencies. The One Stop partners may be represented with a maximum of thirteen members and a minimum of twenty-two members may be from the private sector. Appointments are made jointly by the Knox County Mayor and the City of Knoxville Mayor from among nominations submitted by the appropriate parties. Members are appointed for two-year terms and no member may serve more than three consecutive terms. | |

| Board meets quarterly on the second Wednesday of the first month of the quarter at 7:30 a.m. in the L.T. Ross Building. | |
