More Info Regarding KTA
The Knoxville Transportation Authority will hold a workshop on Tuesday, March 17th at 3:00 p.m. at O'Connor Senior Center, 611 Winona Street. The public is invited to attend.

The Knoxville Transportation Authority serves as the policy making board for all for-hire intra-city passenger transportation services including: bus transit service, taxicabs, and private for-hire transportation services .

Additionally, the KTA sets schedules, fares and routes for KAT services.
Appointment of Commissioners
The KTA has nine commissioners. Seven are appointed by the Mayor, one by City Council from its membership and the incumbent chair of the Knoxville Area Transit Community Advisory Committee. Of the Mayor's appointees, one must be from the University of Tennessee, one recommended by the Central Improvement Business District and another from the downtown business community. The Commissioners serve a four-year term.
Meetings Schedule
Board meets monthly on the fourth Thursday at 3 p.m. in the Main Assembly Room of the City County Building.
