| Appointment of Board Members | ||
| Nine members are appointed by City Council and at least six of these members must be residents of the City of Knoxville. Two members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by City Council and must be residents of the City of Knoxville. A Board member cannot be a candidate for or holder of an elective or appointed public office. Terms are for a three-year period. The Mayor's appointees will begin their terms on January 1 of a given year. | ||
